Summer Programs and Events
Join us for interpreter-led programs this summer! Engaging and educational recreation programming is offered in 21 of our provincial parks. Experience the water by participating in a canoe program with our certified Park Interpreters. Get your steps in with a guided hike or show off your inner explorer and solve mysteries during a geocaching activity. Guided programs are offered Thursday through Monday.
New in 2022, check out our themed programming days each Saturday. Experience unique topics such as When the Park is Dark, Bird Bonanza and Sandy Saturday. Themed days will include unique programming, special guests and exciting hands-on experiences.
If you're looking for a self-guided activity, Park Discovery Packs are available to borrow daily. Discovery Kits are available in topics ranging from astronomy to birds and bugs and include everything you need to complete a craft, explore the park or complete a science experiment! Borrow a pack from the park office or entry gate, free of charge.
Don't forget about our Provincial Historic Parks! Guided tours and programs are available at Cannington Manor, Fort Carlton and Wood Mountain Post. Take a step back in time and immerse yourself in Saskatchewan's early residents' stories and daily lives.
Are you looking for more? Bring the entire family to a special event to explore nature, try new activities and be entertained!
